Photographer Zack Ahern was born on a small farm in the plains of Oklahoma in December of 1988. He spent a good deal of his childhood exploring the countryside around him. Inheriting his love for photography from his grandfather who lived nearby, Zack too fell in love with cameras as a teenager. What started as a hobby grew into a passion and a journey of self-discovery. Today, Zack continues to grow and shoot and has since moved from the Oklahoma countryside to New York City.

I aspire to bridge the gap between fantasy and reality by creating theatrical images that transport the viewer into another world. The two self-portraits displayed here explore the idea of how turmoil invisible to the naked eye can manifest itself into a visible reality.
